Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town

After landing in Cape Town, a VIP meet & greet awaits you at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in Cape Town – 20 minute drive.

Relax for the rest of the day after your flight and socke up the beauty of Cape Town…..
Let the adventure begin!

Day 2: Full day Cape Point Tour

Today is a great opportunity to explore one of the world’s most famous coastal roads with your private guide: Chapman’s Peak Drive takes you towards the Cape of Good Hope to the southwestern most tip of Africa. On the way back, you’ll stop at Boulders Beach, home to a sizable penguin colony.

For lunch, we have made a reservation for you at Harbour House restaurant. The crayfish are excellent!! Return to you hotel during the late afternoon.

Day 3: Full day winelands tour

Together with your guide, visit the Winelands with the famous Motor Museum, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

Enjoy a picnic on a traditional wine farm including some wine tastings.

Day 4: Table Mountain

Use the morning to pay a visit to Cape Town’s landmark with your guide. The ride up Table Mountain is spectacular, as the gondola rotates 360 degrees. Once at the top, you’ll be treated to a breath-taking panorama view of Cape Town and Table Bay.

Have the afternoon for leisure, or we can offer 2 optional activities.
My personal highlight: Cape Town from a bird’s eye view. During a spectacular helicopter flight you will marvel at the Mother City, Table Mountain and the waterfront promenades of Clifton and Camps Bay.

A first class for the evening before dinner: A Sunset Cruise in Table Bay – a sailing trip in a class of its own topped with an awesome dinner!!

Hotel: Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel - 4 Nights

Enjoy the view of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the private marina at the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront in Cape Town. The hotel is located by the sea and at the same time very close to the city center with a colorful cultural offer. 2 bedroom family Suite
For an extended stay or extra space, choose our Two Bedroom Suites, featuring spacious surroundings, including a living area separate from the bedroom for ultimate comfort and privacy. Each suite offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite), a private balcony, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. The Two Bedroom Suites allow for up to two children under the age of 12 years old, or one child up to 17 years old, with four adults.

Day 5: Flight from Cape Town via Johannesburg to Madikwe

Early in the morning you will be transferred back to Cape Town airport for your flight to Johannesburg. At the airport in Johannesburg you will be met upon arrival and be assisted to your onward flight to Madikwe.

After a short stopover in Johannesburg, you will land on the airstrip at Madikwe, where a transfer is already waiting to take you to your lodge. After lunch and in the late afternoon, you will depart for your first game drive in Madikwe. Upon your return to the lodge, enjoy the evening atmosphere and get in the mood for more safari adventures.

Day 6 & Day 7: Game drives in Madikwe National Park

Today and tomorrow you will have two game drives in an open 4×4 vehicle: With an experienced ranger you will track the game on the Reserve. The wildlife of Africa presents itself in all its glory and you can keep a lookout for the legendary “Big Five“.

Hotel: Etali Safari Lodge - 3 Nights

Luxury Suite
The luxury suites are constructed in harmony with nature and were designed to immerse guests in the bush. Watch animals walk to the waterhole on the game paths in front of your deck. Wake up to the dawn chorus of birdlife, and—with a bit of luck—to lions calling or hyenas “laughing.”

Day 8: Transfer from Madikwe to Marataba

After your last game drive and breakfast in Madikwe, you will be transferred by road to Marataba Private Game Reserve.Traveling time +- 3 hours.

Arrival at Explorers Camp just in time for lunch. After lunch you’ll have some time to freshen up, before the first safari in this part   of Region. Spend the evening relaxing with an authentic dinner at the camp.

Day 9: Game drives in Marataba Private game Reserve

Today you’ll have another two game drives in an open 4×4 vehicle:

Alternatively you also have the possibility to participate in an early morning or Sundowner Bush Walk. This is truly an amazing adventure.

Day 10: Rhino notching (Optional) An experience of a life time

Learn how to identify Rhinos through their ear notches. The experience can be done at any stage on a game drive and from just   looking at these magnificent animals, you start to understand some of the work and monitoring that takes place.

Hotel: Marataba Explorers Camp - 3 Nights

Light-hearted, adventurous and fun, Marataba Explorers Camp is all about the relaxed Marataba lifestyle in the great outdoors. Spend your days amidst our stimulating safari and conservation activities, swimming, hiking and adventuring in the gorges and mountains. Then return to camp, kick off your shoes and get up close and personal with the elephants that congregate at the waterhole in front of the deck. The six tents are set in shaded grounds with a swimming pool and are the ideal base for families and groups looking for a fun and flexible safari experience. Life in the wilderness at its best....

Canvas Tent
Explorers was one of the first camps built in the park and has been creatively expanded to include canvas tents and a two-bedroom family tent. All tents are built on decks for optimal views and have large, shaded porches with dining tables and comfortable chairs. Inside, bathrooms feature indoor showers and double sinks, and beds draped in funky throws and soft sheets are huge. Metal furniture, bright colors and natural textiles are fun and add to the camp's relaxed, cucumber-fresh atmosphere. Just kick off your shoes and enjoy....
