After a lunch camp, a first hike to the nearby village is already waiting for you. You will get an insight into the daily life of the Bakiga community and visit a local school. In the evening you can pamper yourself in the small spa of the hotel. Traditional treatments are performed with fragrant products from local plants and provide deep relaxation.

Day 10 & 11: 2 days Gorilla Trekking

On the first day you start after a rich breakfast to a first trekking. In a group of maximum eight participants you will go with a guide in search of rare mountain gorillas.

After leaving the paved road behind you, the most exciting part of the trekking begins. You will walk up the slope on logs over streams and across a carpet of roots, leaves and ferns. Always ahead is your guide, cutting a swath through the dense foliage with a machete. The more densely you penetrate into the jungle, the less light penetrates downward. Via walkie-talkie, scouts who have already left before your group will pass on the position of the gorillas to your guide – so a successful sighting is likely. How long you will have to be on the road, however, cannot be estimated in advance.

Tomorrow you will head into the jungle again to spot another mountain gorilla family in the dense vegetation of the Bwindi National Park.

Hotel: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp - 3 Nights

Nestled in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, "Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp" is so uniquely situated that gorilla families often visit the camp with its eight deluxe tents directly in camp. The only luxury camp in this area is the perfect base for tours into the jungle to discover the majestic animals. Relax here in the middle of the jungle in the cozy lounge and bar area, dine under the open sky or indulge in the camp's mini spa.

The exclusive tents are spacious and comfortable - your personal luxurious retreat in the middle of the jungle. Each tent has a large bathtub from which you can look directly into the treetops while relaxing in the warm water.
